FRRO Registration
A Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) registration is typically required for foreign nationals visiting or relocating to India for an extended period of time. Servile helps obtaining the necessary permits to stay legally in the country.
Holders of tourist visas are exempt from registration because they are not permitted to stay continuously for more than 180 days in a single visit.
If the expected stay is longer than 180 days and the VISA is either Entry "X" or Business (BV) or another kind of long-term Visa, registration is necessary. In that scenario, registration must be completed with the relevant Registration Office well in advance of the 180-day deadline.
Registration must be made with the relevant FRO/FRRO in whose territory the foreign national is resident.
Visa Extension (Documents)
Maintenance letter accompanied with supporting documentation (e.g., bank statement, salary statement, etc.)
Copy of the Passport/Travel documents' photo page, Visa page, and arrival endorsement page.
A copy of the registration certificate/residential permit.
Filled Extension application.
Two recent passport-size photos.
Address proof.
